Disaronno Poolside Italian Breeze

Photographed by Jazz Rules

When I purchased my house I wasn’t completely thrilled about owning the pool that came with it. First off the lining was ripped. That took a few hundred dollars and 3 days worth of work just to fix. But now that I have had a few days of fun in the sun I have completely changed my tune! Floating around the pool with a cold cocktail mixed is one of the simplest and most enjoyable of my summer activities. I foresee myself becoming a professional mixologist before the end of the season!

I was presented with a Disoronno 750ml + glass combo for a house warming gift and wanted to find something refreshing for my first official summer Mix. Since Disoronno is an Italian drink and I work in Boston’s historic North End, I choose to serve the Italian Breeze at my first pool party!

DISARONNO ITALIAN BREEZE:

• 1 part Disaronno

• 1 part white rum

• 2 parts pineapple juice

• 2 parts cranberry juice

• Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a glass filled with ice

• Garnish with a lime slice
